Showers exit the Northland to the southeast throughout the morning, but stubborn clouds, gusty east winds, and areas of fog near Lake Superior result in a cool and gloomy Thursday. Highs will be stuck in the 50s along the shorelines with mid-60s inland. A warm front passing overnight will bump temperatures into the mid and upper 70s for East Central Minnesota and across Northwest Wisconsin Friday. This is followed quickly by a cold front which keeps highs in the upper 60s across Northeast Minnesota. The front brings shower and thunderstorm chances west to east Friday afternoon and evening. An unsettled pattern will keep slight rain chances with us through the weekend and much of next week, but there isn't high confidence in widespread rain at this time. Saturday will be mostly cloudy with highs ranging from the mid-60s to low 70s, then a cold front swinging through Saturday night leaves us with a cooler and breezy Sunday.

Thursday: Morning showers, then cloudy and breezy with areas of fog. High 58. E wind 10-20 mph. Thursday night: Cloudy with areas of fog. Low 50. E wind becoming 5-10 mph.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with a chance for evening showers and thunderstorms. High 70. SE wind 5-10 mph.

Saturday: Partly cloudy. High 70. SW wind 5-10 mph.
