The St. Louis County Attorney's office is considering charges following a physical altercation between two men about bow hunting in the city of Aurora on Wednesday evening.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office report, there was an incident between two men around 6:21 p.m. Wednesday. The altercation was between a bow hunter and a city resident. During the altercation, the city resident pulled out a handgun and fired one shot directly into the ground.
There were no injuries related to the gunshot and the city resident received only minor injuries during the altercation. The incident is under investigation by the sheriff's office. More details are expected either late Friday or early next week as to any charging decisions.
The East Range Police Department, Gilbert Police Department and St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.
